Job summary

St. Mary's County Public Schools in Lexington Park, Maryland is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator (Grant-Funded) at Green Holly Elementary School to support students with disabilities and assist with the implementation of IEP/IFSP plans.

The position is a full-time ten-month role with salary based on the EASMC-ESP schedule, Range 9, $27,999 to $42,351 per year, effective September 2026. Training and CPI certifications may be required for regional programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and meet PQAS credential options.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.
• Experience or training in supporting students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with developmental needs and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with teacher to plan and review instructional programs.
• Implement IEP/IFSP guidelines and track progress data.
• Provide instructional and behavioral support throughout the day.
• Maintain safety standards during arrivals/departures.
• Support materials prep and classroom activities.
• Accompany students to related classes and field trips.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
