Job summary

Stillwater Area Public Schools is hiring a Social Worker-Early Childhood Special Education and Bridge Transition Program for a .50 FTE, with .2 ECSE and .3 Transition. This is a one-year, grant-funded position with possibility of extending to subsequent years.

The role identifies, mobilizes and coordinates family, school and community resources to support each child’s learning and development. The district offers an insurance plan including medical, life, legal and FSA; a 3.75% 403b employer

Qualifications

• PELSB licensure by Minnesota required.
• Bachelor's degree in education discipline preferred; Master's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and District regulations.

Responsibilities

• Part of an interdisciplinary team for early childhood intervention services.
• Provide consultation and training to staff on infant and early childhood development.
• Coordinate home visits and referrals to community resources as needed.
• Assist in extending family engagement and resource sharing across districts.
• Develop and maintain records of assessments and program goals.
