Job summary

Pueblo City Schools is seeking a School Counselor under the School Counseling Corps Grant Funded program. This limited-term role focuses on increasing graduation rates and postsecondary preparation through a comprehensive counseling program.

The counselor will lead college readiness activities, FAFSA/college application events, and ICAP development while partnering with the district to meet grant objectives and support student success.

Qualifications

• Requires Colorado licensure and endorsement for school counseling at time of hire.
• Graduate degree in school or community counseling with national/state exam completion.
• Background check clearance per district policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive school counseling services to all students.
• Lead data-informed planning to improve graduation and college/career readiness.
• Deliver preventive and responsive services through counseling curriculum and individual planning.
• Coordinate with teachers, families, and community resources for student success.
• Support ICAP development and college/career readiness initiatives.
• Contribute to grant reporting and program evaluation.
