City of Boynton Beach Police Department is seeking Police Officers to protect life and property and engage with residents in a diverse community. This grant-funded role runs from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2028 and offers opportunities to advance into specialized units after patrol experience.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible to work in the U.S., at least 19 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid Florida driver’s license, and possess CJBAT/LEO and PAT

Formación

• Knowledge of police work principles and practices.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and ordinances.
• Knowledge of City geography and community characteristics.
• Knowledge of first aid and mental health response.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol assigned areas and respond to calls.
• Resolve conflicts and engage in community policing.
• Investigate crimes and render medical assistance when needed.
• Write reports using standard forms and software.
• Handle crises; testify in court; enforce Florida laws and city ordinances.
• Operate safely in emergency situations and essential equipment.
• Join specialized units after patrol experience.
