Job summary

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) at the Boston Regional Office seeks a Financial Management Analyst to strengthen internal controls, oversee grant portfolios, and provide fiscal guidance. The role supports development and execution of program goals, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and accurate financial reporting.

This position is eligible for telework and falls under the GS-12 level with no education substitution.

Qualifications

• Experience with internal controls and risk management.
• Experience managing grant portfolios and fiscal management.
• Knowledge of federal grant requirements and audit follow-up.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies internal control weaknesses and recommends corrective actions in the impacted procedures, processes, and systems.
• Manages a grant portfolio within assigned program area(s) of varying complexity, scope, and impact, and conducts the day-to-day fiscal management for the grants within the grant portfolio.
• Provides accounting advice to grantees and ETA staff. Communicates Federal and grant award requirements to grantees to ensure understanding of grant requirements.
• Reviews a variety of financial reports, analyzes and validates financial data, and resolves accounting discrepancies in reported data.
