Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. in Ridgeland, MS is seeking a Grant Compliance Specialist to monitor and ensure adherence to government grants and contracts across projects.

You will work with biologists and engineers to manage budgeting, invoicing, reporting, audits, and closeout activities. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business/Accounting, strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with federal/state grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of federal and/or state grants; direct experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated with initiative and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with teams of biologists and engineers to deliver wetland projects.
• Monitor compliance with government grants and contracts including budgeting, invoicing, reporting, audits, and closeout.
• Track funding source budgets and develop A/R invoices to funding sources on a cost reimbursement basis.
• Coordinate accounts payable and labor reporting.
• Oversee staff timesheets and expense reports and monitor costs against budgets.
• Maintain project documentation and documentation control.
• Adhere to procurement regulations and coordinate contract development and implementation.
• Perform various administrative tasks as needed.
