Job summary

State of Illinois is seeking a motivated professional for a supervisory Program Grant Administration Manager role within the Office of Grant Administration (PSA Option1) at the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).

The position oversees administration, compliance, and monitoring of capital and special project grants, developing grant management policies and ensuring funds align with agreements and regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
• Requires three (3) years of professional experience in a public or business organization with administrative duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, serves as manager of the Program Grant Management Unit.
• Administers the development, review, and implementation of the unit’s policy, procedures, and guidelines for grant management and compliance of program grants and DCEO special projects grants.
• Develops quality assurance guidelines and project evaluation procedures in consultation with programmatic office at DCEO.
• Provides oversite and fiscal compliance to validate grants awards have been utilized according to grant agreement and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as required within the scope of duties enumerated above.
• The position emphasizes supervision and coordination of grant administration activities.
