Catholic Charities of Fairfield County in Shelton, CT is seeking a Grant Accountant to join the Finance team. This full-time, exempt role supports grant processing, budgeting, and reporting across a fast-paced environment with grant deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3–5 years grant-related experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Blackbaud Financial Edge and Euna Grants, Excel, and reporting to the VP of Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (3–5 years in an accounting-related role, grant management preferred).
• Detailed familiarity with GAAP as it relates to grants.
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Euna Grants is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel including pivot tables, formulas, lookups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting entries and financial reports for all grants.
• Coordinate cash management for grants including reimbursements, drawdowns and billing.
• Develop and review budgets for grant proposals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Support development program in responding to financial requests from funders.
