Job summary

Cold Spring Granite in Cold Spring, MN is seeking a full-time granite finishing associate to layout and finalize complex granite pieces per production tickets. You will operate Omag mills and saws, program the jetter, and finish heads to spec while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading tickets, laying out stone, applying multiple finishes, and recording work in the JDE system. The role requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift 50 lbs; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, including dimensional drawings.
• Ability to operate and set up Omag mills and saws and maintain quality finishes.
• Legible tape measure reading and layout skills for precise holes and cutouts.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working with protective gear.
• Must pass breathing test to wear supplied air hood and follow safety protocols.
• Able to work with solvents and perform quality checks to match specs.

Responsibilities

• Read production tickets and determine hand finishing tasks.
• Layout stone using tape measure, pattern, square for holes and cuts.
• Shape contoured granite with grinders and skill saws; apply finishes.
• Operate jetter and adjust tip for height, speed, water pressure, and finish.
• Run cranes or lifting devices to move stone as needed.
• Record work performed in JDE system by scanning bar codes.
• Clean stone as required and ensure it meets production standards.
• Cross-train and follow safety protocols; assist in other tasks as needed.
