Job summary

Mercer Landmark is seeking an Operations Technician to support our grain and agronomy operations. The role may be based at multiple nearby facilities and may require travel between locations as business needs dictate.

You will perform a variety of operational duties including grain handling, equipment operation, and opening/closing procedures while maintaining safe, efficient, and organized facilities that support business goals and deliver excellent patron service.

Qualifications

• Independent, self-motivated with ability to work solo.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension; able to follow procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to become certified.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate in varying weather and environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate grain handling and related equipment to support facility needs.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and general facility maintenance.
• Conduct housekeeping and safety checks to maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Provide customer service and support to patrons as needed.
• Travel between facilities to support operations.
