Job summary

Landus is seeking an Operations Associate specializing in grain and agronomy operations. You will help with handling, storage, and distribution of grain, operate equipment, maintain facilities, manage inventory, and serve farmer-owners and customers.

The role requires travel to locations to support operations and keep premises clean and organized. The ideal candidate safely operates equipment, is willing to travel, and follows safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely operate equipment and perform physical, hands-on work.
  • Willingness to travel between locations to support operations and housekeeping.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Comfort working in outdoor and seasonal conditions.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and SOPs.
  • Strong focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Willingness to obtain required training and certifications (e.g., locomotive, NH3).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of elevator operations.
  • Receive, dry, and unload grain.
  • Measure grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Assist in grain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing cars.
  • If applicable to location, operate a train locomotive & obtain a training certificate on locomotive operations.
  • Maintain grain conditions by testing temperatures and blending.
  • Assist in all aspects of the fertilizer and chemical operations.
  • Measure inventory and report it to the supervisor.
  • Perform equipment and facility maintenance including housekeeping records and cleanliness.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service.
