Job summary

Frontier Cooperative in Nebraska is seeking a hands-on grain operations technician to support grain handling, storage, and quality control across our facilities. You will operate weigh scales, loaders, conveyors, and storage equipment, while maintaining safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, customer service at the retail counter, loading and unloading grain, and keeping facilities clean and well-organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture-related background preferred.
• 2+ years of agricultural experience preferred.
• Ability to operate elevators, scales, skid-steer, auger, forklift, track mobile, and farm tractors.
• Strong customer service and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate weigh scales, grain probes, elevator legs, conveyors, distributors, and dust collectors.
• Examine grain samples for moisture, contamination, and quality; monitor grain flow and bin capacity.
• Load and unload grain trucks and rail cars; address quality issues as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, machinery, and elevator equipment; change oil and filters.
• Greet customers, assist with loading products, and secure loads for safe transit.
• Mow, weed, spray weeds, remove snow, and maintain safe facilities according to OSHA and regulations.
