Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Grain Operations Crewleader at our Ohio facility. The role leads grain receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, train new staff, and step in for the Supervisor when needed, ensuring efficient grain movement and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years’ relevant grain operations experience.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead grain operations tasks including receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping.
• Identify, monitor, and report safety and quality issues; assist root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist with Safety Committee meetings and morning safety talks.
• Train and onboard new operations workers.
• Complete electronic data entry, reporting, and documentation to support operations.
• Perform Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor.

The Grain Operations Crewleader position is responsible for leading and performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all grain operations tasks required at the facility that contribute to customer service, grain movement/storage and general facility upkeep. Assist with the coordination of all grain movement task at the facility
• Identify, monitor, and report safety and quality issues. Assist with identifying root cause and corrective action through the understanding of facility logistics, grain conditioning, and grain quality
• Assist with safety committee meetings and morning safety talks
• Train and onboard new operations workers
• Complete electronic data entry, reporting, documentation and correspondence to support operations
• Perform Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 5+ years’ relevant experience required
• Demonstrated competence in all work areas of grain operations
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred

Physical Requirements And Working Environment

• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
• Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
• Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
