The DeLong Co., Inc. in Clinton, WI is seeking a Grain Merchandiser to support accounting, merchandising, risk, logistics, grading, and operations across our Clinton grain exports team. You will engage with producers and end-users, learn physical grain trading, hedge desk operations, and develop data-driven insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• 1 year of agricultural business experience or farming background.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with AGRIS accounting software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Ability to accept responsibility and be vocal within the organization.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent industry experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Agriculture, or Economics.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsabilités

• Accounting: Support AGRIS accounting software use, contract/ticket/settlement review, AR management.
• Merchandising & Origination: Communicate with producers and end-users, manage physical grain trading positions, monitor HPR/contracts, and support trade arbitrage and intercompany trades.
• Risk Management: Support hedge desk operations, reconcile daily HPR, and assist with audit and risk mitigation procedures.
• Logistics: Coordinate truck/rail/barge shipping and receiving, calculate transportation rates, review freight invoices, and build shipping schedules.
• Grain Grading: Learn grading procedures for corn, soybeans, and wheat, operate scale systems, perform purity and toxin tests, and manage sample documentation.
• Outside Operations: Gain exposure to elevator operations, quality management, safety practices, maintenance procedures, and inventory systems.
