Job summary

New Century FS seeks a leader to implement and direct the grain merchandising program, including sales, hedging, and bid management. You will work with elevator managers to ensure inventories meet goals and maintain records while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a college degree in Ag Economics or Ag Marketing and 3+ years of agricultural marketing experience, plus willingness to travel and work extended hours in a dynamic rural-ag sector.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree in Ag Economics, Ag Marketing or Agri-Business plus 3+ years in agricultural marketing.
• Must possess Series III National Commodity Futures Certification or be eligible within 3 months.
• Travel ability and willingness to work extended hours; physically able to lift 21–50 lbs.
• Experience leading grain merchandising programs, contracts, hedging, margins and bids.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements grain merchandising programs including sales and hedging contracts, margins, bids, and open grain positions.
• Establishes and communicates storage and drying rates and basic contracts.
• Determines daily bids, selects best bids and monitors competitive bids.
• Assists with the development and implementation of grain origination marketing plans.
• Communicates and coordinates with elevator managers to meet merchandising goals.
• Maintains consolidated daily position and other grain-related records.
• Ensures regulatory compliance.
