Job summary

Heartland Co-op is seeking a facility associate to handle grain, fertilizer, chemicals, seed, feed and related products. You will load and unload trucks, assist with scales, and help maintain accurate inventory and log books.

The role requires physical endurance and adherence to safety procedures, with heavy lifting and daily outdoor work in a busy facility. Position emphasizes reliability, teamwork and safe operation of loading and conveying equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combo.
• Ability to read simple instructions, perform basic math, and follow procedures.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and comply with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and load commodities and products at the facility.
• Operate loading equipment and assist with scale and inventory tasks.
• Maintain logs and perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Prepare trailers and rail cars for loading; monitor quality and temperatures.
• Assist with barges, grading certificates, and document retention as needed.
