WOODALL GRAIN is seeking a Grain Facility Operations II to support day-to-day grain handling, weighing inbound and outbound trucks, grading grain, and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient facility in Tennessee.

You will operate scale systems, enter ticket data, communicate with truckers, and assist with receiving, drying, storing, and loading grain. The role requires physical stamina and a focus on accuracy, with overtime during harvest seasons.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in agriculture, grain handling, or industrial operations is helpful but not required.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty environments and extreme weather.

Responsibilities

  • Operate scale system to weigh inbound and outbound grain trucks accurately.
  • Enter and verify ticket data including customer information, commodity type, weights, and moisture content.
  • Communicate with truck drivers regarding procedures and facility instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with receiving, drying, storing, and loading grain.
  • Monitor grain quality including moisture, test weight, and condition; perform basic grading procedures.

Job description

Position Summary: The Grain Facility Operations II position is responsible for supporting day-to-day grain facility operations, including weighing inbound and outbound trucks, grading grain, assisting with grain handling and storage, and maintaining equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of agricultural commodities.

What You’ll Do:
  • Operate scale system to accurately weigh inbound and outbound grain trucks
  • Enter and verify ticket data including customer information, commodity type, weights, and moisture content
  • Communicate clearly with truck drivers regarding procedures and facility instructions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Assist with receiving, drying, storing, and loading grain
  • Monitor grain quality including moisture, test weight, and condition; perform basic grading procedures
  • Operate grain handling equipment such as conveyors, augers, dryers, and storage bins
  • Assist with general facility maintenance and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Load trucks and rail/barge shipments as directed and according to specifications

  • Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns immediately to supervisors
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Participate in required safety training and compliance programs
What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in agriculture, grain handling, or industrial operations preferred (not required)
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty environments and extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders multiple times throughout the workday
  • Willingness to work extended hours during harvest and peak seasons, including weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
