Bartlett, a Savage company and a leading agribusiness, is seeking an Elevator Operator in Council Bluffs, IA to manage grain receiving, storage, drying and loading ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The role starts at $21.00 per hour, 6am–2pm, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends; requires a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.

The Basics

• Location: Council Bluffs, IA


• Compensation: $21.00/hr and up


• Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift, 6am to 2pm, Monday thru Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.


• Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs


• Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED


• Reliable transportation


• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English


• Available to work overtime and weekends


• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)


• Able to pass a criminal background check
