Job summary

FS GRAIN in Northern Illinois is seeking an elevator operations worker to manage grain handling, safety, and the grain drying system. You will ensure quality, perform housekeeping, and support customers on-site.

The role requires a high school diploma (or related experience), the ability to work independently and in a team, and a valid driver's license with occasional overnight travel. Extended hours and on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Experience with mechanical diagnosis, service and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Valid driver's license; travel overnight as needed.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate grain handling processes for incoming, stored, and outgoing grain; maintain grain quality and drying.
• Keep the grain handling area clean and orderly.
• Ensure OSHA/state/federal safety compliance and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Provide professional customer service to customers.
