Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking graduate students interested in physics, applied mathematics, and computer science for a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary lab environment. Successful candidates will engage in research contributing to national security.

This opportunity is intended for graduate students with interests in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related technical disciplines. Students will gain hands‑on experience in a multidisciplinary national laboratory environment while contributing to research that supports the Laboratory's national security mission.
Graduate Students: Must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program in a STEM‑related field.
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Citizens of the People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau), the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), and the Russian Federation who are not lawful permanent residents are prohibited from accessing facilities that support the mission of national security laboratories and nuclear weapons production facilities, which includes Los Alamos National Laboratory.
No security clearance is required. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre‑employment background checks.
The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new‑employment drug test and maintains a substance‑abuse policy that includes random drug testing. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre‑offer.
