Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Graduate Assistant in the Communications Systems and Spectrum Division (CSSD) within ICL to advance wireless communications research. You will work with engineers to integrate and develop waveform designs for SDR platforms and hardware implementations, contributing to DoW-related projects.

The role emphasizes digital communications, firmware development, and SDR skills, with documentation responsibilities and a path toward security clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Georgia Tech).
• Must be registered for at least 3+ credit hours with your university.
• Must have a 3.0+ cumulative GPA.
• Commit to 15-20 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, implement, and test communication waveforms on SDR platforms.
• Build new communication blocks and signal processing algorithms for a System on a Chip platform.
• Develop firmware for FPGAs to support tested signal processing algorithms.
• Document and draw support to communicate your work and the team’s efforts.
