Job summary

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks an Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Research Assistant starting Spring 2027. You will work with research engineers to integrate and develop wireless communication systems, focusing on digital communications, firmware, and SDR technology to support DoW customers.

Responsibilities include waveform testing on SDRs, building SoC blocks, and FPGA firmware for signal processing.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital communications theory including modulation and coding.
• Firmware development and SDR platform experience.
• Strong communication of technical ideas.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, implement, and test wireless communication waveforms on SDR platforms.
• Build new communication blocks and signal processing algorithms for a unified platform (SoC).
• Develop firmware for FPGAs implementing tested signal processing algorithms.
• Document work and support the team with clear drawings and reports.
