Job summary

Valley Water is seeking a Graduate Intern to support piloting of reverse osmosis concentrate treatment technologies, assist with research on recycled water projects, and contribute to purified water initiatives at our facilities. The role includes field sampling, data collection and analysis, and preparation of field reports, with a hybrid work setup between our San José sites and telework options.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student or recent graduate (within 6 months)
• Available to work 20–30 hours/week during breaks
• Able to work 20+ hours/week during the school year
• CA driver’s license and good driving record
• Hybrid work schedule: 60% in office, 40% telework

Responsibilities

• Collect water/wastewater samples and perform field analyses
• Collect and analyze water quality data
• Prepare field reports and conduct technical reviews
• Assist with running pilot projects and special studies
• Review technical documents and deliverables
• Support permitting activities related to RO concentrate and CEQA
• Support potable water reuse outreach and tours
• Assist with QA/QC and database management
