Job summary

Tryfacta, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Grad Intern to support water, environmental, and infrastructure projects in the Silicon Valley region. The role is part-time (20 hours/week) with a 960-hour annual allocation, onsite in San Jose, CA.

The pay rate is $32.27 per hour, start date to be discussed, and exposure to project management and engineering workflows will be gained. The intern will assist with coordination, document control, procurement, invoices, and field sampling while collaborating

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Graduate-level degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with project coordination and document management is preferred.
• Exposure to field sampling and environmental data collection is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Demonstration Facility project management and coordination tasks.
• Track submittals, maintain project files, and coordinate meetings.
• Review invoices from consultants and assist procurement of long-lead equipment.
• Assist with field sampling setup, calibration, and documentation.
• Support outreach trailer relocation and parking lot construction project activities.

Role Overview

The Graduate Engineering Intern will support the Pure Water Silicon Valley delivery team and Demonstration Facility projects by assisting with project coordination, document management, procurement activities, invoice tracking, plan reviews, field sampling activities, and stakeholder coordination. The role offers exposure to project management, engineering processes, and water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Demonstration Facility project management team.
• Track internal submittal reviews and maintain project files.
• Coordinate internal project meetings and communications.
• Review and track invoices from project consultants and facility designers.
• Assist with procurement of long-lead project equipment and materials.
• Review engineering reports, plans, and project documentation.
• Support project management activities related to outreach trailer relocation and parking lot construction.
• Track plan reviews and submittals across internal stakeholders.
• Participate in field sampling events, including setup, sample collection, calibration checks, and documentation.

Required Experience

• Experience or academic exposure to engineering project coordination.
• Experience managing documents, reports, and project files.
• Exposure to project tracking, reporting, and administrative support activities.
• Ability to participate in field-based activities and site visits.
• Valid California Driver's License (driving required for business purposes).

Preferred Experience

• Water, wastewater, environmental, or infrastructure project experience.
• Exposure to engineering consulting or project management environments.
• Experience supporting procurement and invoice review processes.
• Familiarity with field sampling and environmental data collection activities.
