Saint Xavier University’s Center for Accessibility Resources (CAR) is seeking a part-time student employee to assist in administering and proctoring exams for students with approved testing accommodations. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be admitted to and enrolled in a Saint Xavier University graduate program.
  • Must be Federal Work Study Eligible.
  • Resume and Cover Letter required.

  • Provide support for less frequently approved accommodations, such as reading exam content aloud or serving as a scribe, as needed.
  • Maintain exam security and confidentiality at all times and report any testing irregularities to CAR staff.
  • Assist with basic record-keeping related to exam administration.
  • Support the return of completed exams to faculty.
  • Assist with additional tasks related to testing, accommodations, or general office support as directed by the CAR Coordinator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Experience And Skills


  • Previous experience working with students in a special education, disability services, or higher education setting is strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting IEP or 504 Plan accommodations is a plus.

  • Comfortable using everyday technology such as laptops, email, and shared documents.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is helpful.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and structured testing environment.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills when interacting with students and staff.

  • Calm, patient, and professional demeanor with the ability to redirect or de-escalate situations when necessary.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
