Job summary
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD is seeking a Test and Evaluation Systems Engineer to join a team solving complex defense challenges. You will explore how flight tests progress from concept to layered scenarios, evaluating the latest missile defense technologies.
As part of your role, you will develop analysis tools in MATLAB, design test assets and assess trajectory, safety and COLA aspects, and collaborate across technical areas to enhance operational system
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in aerospace, mechanical, physics, mathematics, or related field.
- Experience or background in MATLAB or similar scripting environment.
- Eligible for Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Learn how a flight test mission progresses from concept to layered scenarios.
- Develop tools and perform analysis in flight dynamics and orbital mechanics.
- Collaborate across technical areas to improve performance of operational systems.
