Job summary

Saint Leo University is seeking a Graduate Assistant tennis coach to support the Division II Men's Tennis program. Under supervision of head coach, the GA assists in recruitment, practice planning, player evaluation and day-to-day coaching during practices and matches.

The role emphasizes mentorship, academic coordination, and adherence to NCAA rules, SSC, and university policies. A Bachelor's degree and knowledge of tennis coaching are required, with strong leadership and communication skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university NCAA rules and compliance.
• Knowledge of coaching tennis tactics and techniques.
• Leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to recruit student athletes and motivate student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in teaching tennis skills and techniques.
• Assist in implementing game tactics and strategy.
• Mentor student-athletes on time management balancing academics and athletics.
• Monitor academic progress and eligibility rules for student-athletes.
• Support scheduling of opponents and travel logistics.
