Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education or high school graduate with drafting experience
• Preferred qualification: Associate in applied science in electrical, mechanical or architectural design/technology
• Hands on experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Demonstrated interest in chosen field through internships, volunteering, or memberships
• Creative thinking with methodical problem solving
• Proficient communication and presentation skills to engage clients and colleagues
• Resilient, solution-oriented mindset with focus on growth and value

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing drawings, preliminary layouts, sketches or marked-up prints using drafting tools or CAD programs
• Prepare plans, profiles, sections and electrical drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools
• Operate CADD workstations, plotters, printers and other equipment
• Perform drafting to company and national standards
• Join project and client meetings
• Refine technical designs and documentation
