Arup is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer in Boston to join our global design team. You will design structural systems, perform analyses, and prepare drawings, calculations, and reports as part of a collaborative group of engineers.

You will grow software skills and learn through Arup University and the Structural Skills Network while contributing to sustainable solutions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in meetings, and gain exposure to local and international

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field focused on structural engineering.
• Coursework in structural analysis, advanced steel design, and advanced reinforced concrete design.
• Professional demeanor and ability to communicate confidently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Clear communication of technical ideas to diverse audiences.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and balance workload in a fast-evolving setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based work.

Responsibilities

• Create solutions for built-environment challenges using the art and science of structural engineering.
• Design structural systems and perform structural analysis within a team of engineers.
• Deliver structural engineering drawings, calculations, reports, sketches and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties.
• Attend meetings and learn through listening and discussion.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary design team to develop sustainable solutions.
• Grow software and technology skills to perform structural analysis, design, and documentation.
• Develop new skills through Arup University, Arup Structural Skills Network, and on-the-job learning.
• Learn and understand local and international codes and regulations.
