Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to design and contribute to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. You will gain hands-on experience on impactful projects across communities and environments, contributing to design, calculations, and documentation.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and exposure to the firm’s global network, with opportunities to advance within a diverse practice and address climate challenges

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering with an emphasis on structures.
• Relevant coursework in structural analysis, advanced steel design and advanced reinforced concrete design.
• Structural project design experience via prior internship and/or coursework projects (prior engineering internship experience is preferred).
• Familiarity with Revit and 3D modeling (Rhino, SketchUp, etc.)
• Interest and/or experience in visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper), coding (Python, C#), and open-source coding projects is a plus
• Demonstrated interest in the built environment and sustainable design
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the progression and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept to completion
• Perform detailed structural analysis, design, and calculations
• Participate in interdisciplinary project meetings
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Support structural embodied carbon assessments and sustainability initiatives
• Contribute to site visits and help monitor construction progress
