Job summary

DV Commodities, a division of the DV Group, seeks a 2027 Graduate Software Engineer to build and improve proprietary trading tools for commodity desks in New York. The role blends software development with collaboration across traders, researchers and technical teams to deliver platform functionality and greenfield solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifications

• Degree by Summer 2027 in CS/CE or related field.
• Programming in C++ and/or Python in Linux environments.
• Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve proprietary trading tools for desks across the business.
• Collaborate with developers, leaders, traders and researchers to define requirements.
• Work iteratively with tech and business stakeholders to deliver platform functionality.
• Architect greenfield solutions and extend established codebases confidently.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development while owning code through design, verification and production support.
