Job summary

DV Trading's DV Commodities division in New York is seeking a 2027 graduate software engineer to help build and enhance proprietary trading tools used across desks and markets. You will collaborate with traders, researchers, and developers to translate business needs into robust software solutions.

Responsibilities include owning the lifecycle of features, architecting greenfield solutions, and applying AI to accelerate development while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Expected to graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field by Summer 2027.
• Experience programming in C++ and/or Python in Linux environments, ideally on quantitative or latency-sensitive problems.
• Accelerate development with AI tools while owning code from verification through edge-case handling.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite at our New York office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve proprietary trading tools for the trading desks across the business.
• Collaborate with developers, traders, and researchers to outline technical needs for each trading application.
• Work with technology and business stakeholders in iterative fashion to deliver platform functionality.
• Architect greenfield solutions to address business needs and work with established codebases.
• Use AI to accelerate development while taking full ownership of your code from design to production support.
