Job summary

Bethel University seeks a Manager of Graduate and Seminary Academic Advising to lead the advising team and shape proactive, collaborative student support. You will coach Advising Specialists, partner with Directors and faculty, and influence advising practices to boost student persistence and success.

You will also manage a caseload, focus on continuous improvement, and help align policies with retention research and department goals in a Christ-centered collegiate setting.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years in academic advising or higher education administration.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strategic, analytical thinking with data-driven focus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the unit's strategic plan and lead unit-specific work.
• Supervise, hire, train, and mentor Advising Specialists; conduct evaluations.
• Direct unit recruitment and cross-functional collaboration with Registrar, Admissions, and faculty.
• Maintain a caseload and support complex student situations.
