Job summary

Southern Nazarene University is seeking a graduate assistant coach for the Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program, competing in NCR DI. The successful candidate will have a mature, growing relationship with Christ and collegiate coaching/playing experience, and may lead the JV program if applicable while assisting the varsity coaching staff.

Qualifications

• Must profess faith in Jesus Christ and be committed to the SNU Mission “to make Christlike disciples through higher education” in a Christ centered community.

• Minimum college undergraduate completion.
• Minimum two years of related work experience or relevant training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Typing and spelling competency.
• Experience with various computer software applications.
• Data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in leadership for the SNU Men’s & Women’s Rugby Program.
• Play an integral role in day-to-day administrative responsibilities, player/team spiritual development, daily team training, evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes, academic monitoring, and skill development of players.
• Work within SNU and NCR guidelines to provide student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships.
