Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide direct patient care within a designated shift, applying nursing processes, safety standards, and collaborative teamwork to support patient outcomes.

Requires an active RN license in the applicable state and the ability to obtain permanent licensure within timelines; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Must possess current Temporary or Graduate RN permit as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Documentation of recent graduation from School of nursing; permanent RN license must be obtained within 90 days of graduation.
• Current PA Registered Nurse Temporary Permit. Permanent license must be obtained prior to the expiration of the temporary permit.
• Current WV Registered Nurse Grad Permit. Permanent license must be obtained prior to the expiration of the temporary permit.
• Note: Temporary permits are valid only within the state of issuance; they are not multi-state licenses.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a designated shift, based on the nursing process and within role/scope of practice.
• Use clinical judgment and teamwork to deliver safe, effective care and respond to patient needs.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Mentor and develop other staff, fostering professional growth and unit cohesion.
• Adhere to standards of care and practice; document care and patient responses clearly.
• Support safe patient handling and mobility per algorithms and patient profiles.
