Job summary

Minimum qualifications include nursing graduation, WV license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days for ED, and PALS for ED; one year of RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current WV nursing license.
• BLS certification within 30 days from hire date.
• ACLS required 30 days from hire date for Med/Surg, OR, and ED.
• PALS required 30 days from hire date for OR and ED.
• One year direct patient care experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develop, discuss, and communicate a realistic plan of care for each patient with patient/family/significant other.
• Implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary.
• Reassess progress to meet patient and family needs and ensure quality of care.
• Maintain documentation of nursing care for healthcare team.
• Maintain current knowledge/certification/licensure.
• Serve as a role model for staff.
• Perform unit-specific duties to address the client’s needs.
