Job summary

Millersville University seeks a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Public Scholarship to assist in coordinating, promoting, and developing CPS programs. The GA will provide support to community partners, undertake research projects, and help publicize CPS and related programs.

The role requires enrollment in a Millersville University graduate program, on-campus availability, and maintaining a 6-credit load in fall and spring terms.

Qualifications

• Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program; non-degree students and those only seeking post-baccalaureate certification are not eligible.
• Must be available for on-campus work at specific times (coordinate schedule with the Director to assure appropriate support for the Center).
• Full-time Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 6 credits in Fall semester and Spring semester.

Responsibilities

• Participate in, and help promote, develop, and coordinate programs and projects under the auspices of the CPS
• Provide support to community partners
• Undertake research projects on issues identified by community partners
• Plan and publicize CPS and community education programs
• Supervise undergraduate student research assistants
• Assist in the planning and carrying out of events associated with the CPS
• Update the CPS website and social media feeds
