Job summary

The Texas A&M University Department of Biology & Chemistry is hiring a part-time Research Assistant for an NSF grant project focused on biochemical studies of yeast pathogenicity. Essential duties include conducting research, managing data, performing experiments, and contributing to professional publications. A BS degree and GPA above 3.0 is preferred, along with research assistant experience.

Compensation is $18.50/hr for up to 19 hours weekly, contingent upon credential verification.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the MS Biology program.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Meet requirements of TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect data using complex techniques.
• Assist with data management and perform basic statistical analyses.
• Develop assessment and evaluation tools.
• Perform experiments and analyze data.
• Participate in regional scientific conferences.

Skills

Education
