Avila University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant in the Replication & Open Science Education Lab (ROSE Lab). The role involves supporting research activities, meeting participation, and assisting with presentations and publications.

Mentorship-based workload aligns with 7.5 hours/week across Spring and Fall, with potential Summer continuation. The position requires enrollment in the MSCP/MSP program, initiative, reliability, and in-person availability.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted and enrolled in the MSCP or MSP graduate program at Avila University (MSCP preferred but not required).
• Initiative to identify or request work during slower periods.
• Ability to meet in-person.
• Work independently and efficiently on assigned tasks, providing updates regularly on progress.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Interest in research is required; experience with scientific research and writing is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with statistical analysis packages (jamovi, SPSS, R) preferred.
• International students are not eligible for graduate assistantships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meetings and operations of the ROSE Lab, including attending lab meetings on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm and maintaining notes.
• Contribute to scholarly research, presentations, and publications.
• Assist with grant writing and/or administration.
• Support undergraduate student presentations and publications.
