Support laboratory exercises associated with Biology. Prepare, set up, and supervise laboratory sessions for students and faculty. Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory. Navigate laboratory computers and instrumentation. Assist with equipment utilization, set-up, and replacement. Collaborate with faculty and staff on lab needs. Dispose of waste responsibly and adhere to health and safety regulations. Supervise student use of laboratories when open. Participate in development of safety procedures and training. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff. Regular attendance is essential.
24 credit hours of college coursework, including at least one science/engineering lab class. One year of laboratory or related experience. Computer proficiency. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and moderate to heavy carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Comfortable with sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping.
Associate’s degree in a STEM area. Experience working on a higher‑education lab. Familiarity with scientific instrumentation and software. Ability to set up and use equipment.
$14.00 per hour
