Job summary

The University of Washington invites applications for the position of Director of Graduate Prosthodontics in the School of Dentistry, at the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. The role is 12-month, full-time with an initial three-year term beginning March 1, 2027.

Salary ranges from $15,000 to $19,166 per month, commensurate with experience, and includes moving allowance and admin salary supplementation as program director.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD or foreign equivalent.
• Postgraduate prosthodontics training completed (ADA/CODA accredited).
• US Board Certification in Prosthodontics.
• Minimum five years’ experience in didactic and clinical instruction in academics.
• Eligibility for dental licensure in Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and clinic coverage supporting patient care and student learning.
• Deliver advanced didactic and lab instruction in fixed, removable, and digital prosthodontics; supervise patient care.
• Develop and enhance the program curriculum.
• Oversee CODA standards compliance and accreditation readiness.
• Ensure Graduate School policy adherence and program review readiness.
• Foster interdisciplinary, patient-centered care and collaborative planning.
• Mentor student research; ensure clinic financial viability.
• Contribute to teaching, learning, research and clinical practice improvements.
