Job summary

The University of Washington invites applications for the Director of the Graduate Prosthodontics program, at the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. This 12-month, full-time appointment begins March 1, 2027, with potential renewal.

The successful candidate will supervise clinic operations, deliver instruction in fixed, removable, and digital prosthodontics, and lead curriculum development while ensuring CODA compliance and program accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

  • DDS, DMD, or foreign equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Prosthodontics program completed (ADA/CODA accredited).
  • US Board Certification in Prosthodontics
  • Minimum of five years’ experience providing didactic and clinical instruction in an academic setting.
  • Eligibility for dental licensure in Washington

Responsibilities

  • Devote a significant portion of effort to clinical supervision and clinic coverage in support of patient care, student learning, and programmatic needs.
  • Provide advanced didactic and laboratory instruction in fixed, removable, and digital prosthodontics, and supervise students in the delivery of patient care and clinical treatment.
  • Develop and enhance program curriculum.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight of program compliance with CODA standards, and ensure continuous readiness, regulatory adherence, evidence-based assessment, and successful accreditation outcomes.
  • Provide oversight of program compliance with University of Washington Graduate School requirements to ensure ongoing adherence to academic policies and a successful program review outcomes.
  • Contribute to patient-centered, interdisciplinary care, teaching, and collaborative treatment planning.
  • Mentor and support student research activities.Ensure the financial viability of the clinic.
  • Contribute to activities that advance teaching, learning, research, and clinical practice.
