Graduate Program Director in Endodontics

Position Summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a fixed-term Clinical Track Associate or Full Professor to serve as the Graduate Program Director of Endodontics. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the three‑year Master Program in Endodontics, including resident recruitment, curriculum development, scheduling, and program administration. This role also includes responsibilities in research, scholarly publishing, and participation in Dental Faculty Practice, in alignment with school and university performance and scholarship expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the three‑year Master Program in Endodontics.
• Recruit and select residents for the program.
• Develop and refine the program curriculum and schedule.
• Administer the program and manage related administrative tasks.
• Conduct research and publish scholarly work in accordance with faculty expectations.
• Participate in Dental Faculty Practice.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority, reporting Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and completing required training.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent degree.
• Advanced training in Endodontics.
• Board‑certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics or board‑eligible by the American Board of Endodontics.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

• Significant clinical and academic experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership, administrative, supervisory, and CODA accreditation experience.
