Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Entry Process Automation Systems Engineer in the Houston area with a B.S. in engineering. You will join cross‑functional teams to support automation projects, perform field surveys, and assist with installations and start-ups at customer sites.

DeltaV experience is a key asset, and travel to end users is required. As a new graduate, you will work with experienced engineers to develop deliverables such as diagrams, instrument databases, cabinet drawings, and UI displays for

Qualifications

• Must be an upcoming college graduate on or before June 2027 with a B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Must be comfortable in plant sites and able to navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding and catwalks.
• Must be willing to travel to end user locations up to 25–50% of the year.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work on control systems projects using the latest automation tech.
• Assist with development, update, and quality checks of project deliverables ( diagrams, databases, cabinet drawings, software configuration, UI displays).
• Travel to customer sites for field surveys, installations, checkouts, and startups of control systems.
