Southern HealthCare Management seeks a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) to provide care under physician orders in a team-based setting, within state practice scope.

The GPN will administer and document medications, observe residents, and communicate with RNs/physicians to support the care plan. Licensure as an LPN is expected within 30 days of employment.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate Practical Nurse licensure in progress and able to obtain LPN license within 30 days.
• Ability to work within scope of practice defined by state regulations.
• Willingness to collaborate with RNs and physicians in a team setting.

• Collection of data (vital signs, complaints, symptoms, etc.).
• Observation of residents (location, activity, position, etc.).
• Administers and documents medications and treatments.
• Collect information to assist the interdisciplinary care plan team.
• Communicates with RNs and physicians regarding pertinent observations.
• Documents observations and care in compliance with standards and company policy.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

A graduate practical nurse (GPN) provides care and treatment in accordance with physician orders. Works in a team environment and within scope of practice as defined by State. The GPN works under the direction of physicians and registered nurses (RNs). The GPN is expected to obtain LPN licensure within 30 days of employment.

• Collection of data (may be part of an evaluation (e.g., vital signs, resident’s complaints, symptoms, etc.)
• Observation of the residents (e.g., location, activity, position, etc.)
• Administers and documents medications and treatments
• Collection of information to assist the interdisciplinary care plan team in the plan of care
• Communicates with RNs and or physicians regarding pertinent resident observations and information
• Documents observations and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations
