Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks recent graduates for its University Hire Program across the United States. You will participate in designing and preparing construction drawings, project schedules, and PD&P deliverables while gaining hands-on experience with seasoned professionals.

You will contribute to ensuring designs meet industry standards, collaborate across disciplines, and develop technical and professional skills through targeted learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past 12 months or upcoming 12 months.
• Eligible for the University Hire Program (typically hired within 12 months of graduation).
• Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
• Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Developing site/building general arrangements.
• Generating structural calculations and drawings for piping and pipe supports.
• Generating pipe stress analysis calculations for ASME code compliance.
• Working in the 3D model to develop designs for piping, equipment, HVAC, or pipe supports.
• Examining and analyzing pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.
• Optimizing facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements.
• Interfacing with other engineering disciplines, construction, startup, and vendors during the development of facility design.
