Job summary
CVS Health is offering a Graduate Pharmacy Intern program designed to bridge pharmacy school learning with real-world practice in CVS stores. Under a preceptor and district leadership, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, supporting pharmacy teams to fill prescriptions safely and efficiently.
You will gain experience in patient counseling, immunizations, drug utilization review, and adherence to SOPs while building the foundation for a pharmacist
Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure
- Willingness to travel within the market to support stores as needed
Responsibilities
- Complete the training roadmap within 120 days and work under supervision of preceptor and district leadership
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient interactions
- Follow SOPs, maintain patient privacy and comply with regulatory requirements
- Deliver immunizations and other services where allowed by law and training
