Job summary

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Intern position within our Retail locations is designed to train you to become a pharmacist with hands-on practice under supervision. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap in 120 days, focusing on patient safety, drug utilization, and SOP adherence.

You will assist the pharmacy team with prescription processing, counseling, immunizations, and basic inventory tasks while developing leadership and clinical skills for greater responsibility.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care by supporting pharmacists and technicians in prescription fulfillment.
• Assist in immunizations, DUR and patient counseling under supervision.
• Adhere to SOPs and ensure patient safety and accurate dispensing.
• Provide empathetic customer service and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Support inventory management and daily pharmacy operations.
• Travel to stores as needed to meet business needs.
