Job summary

CVS Health offers Graduate Pharmacy Intern opportunities in our retail pharmacies. You will support pharmacists and technicians in daily operations, participate in immunizations and patient services, and help ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, handling prescriptions, and assisting with inventory and patient-care activities as you progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within state guidelines (120 days).
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern and/or technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy teams to manage and improve patient health by following SOPs.
• Assist with safe prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows.
• Counsel patients, address medical questions, and collect relevant medical history under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions as allowed by state law.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy staff; complete inventory activities as directed by leadership.
• Travel to stores within the market to support scheduling and business needs.
