Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident for the 4H Cardiac Progressive Care unit. Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week.

Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am). New RN incentives include up to $7,500 sign-on, no contract, and loan forgiveness programs (up to $16,000 bridging to BSN/MSN). Experienced RNs may receive up to $10,000 sign-on and bridging options.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for all ages: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
• Perform duties in accordance with Mercy Health System guidelines and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other:Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
• Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
• Meet unit-specific physical demands.
• Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance.
• May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements.
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
